- OTHER FIGURES - |
The Walking Dead action figures from McFarlane have had an interesting history. The first two waves of figures (Series 1 and 2) were pretty terrible looking, with little articulation and bad sculpts. Thankfully, McFarlane smartened up with Series 3 and started giving us some great looking action figures. The tradition continues with Series 4 and today I'll be showcasing The Governor. Enjoy!
Release: 2013
Series: The Walking Dead
Company: McFarlane
Accessories: Alternate Head, Knife, Machete, Gun
Articulation: Ball joint Head, Shoulders, Elbows, Wrist, Waist, Hips, Knees and Ankles.
The Walking Dead may be a lot of talking, but there are some fun moments and some of the characters are great. I especially ended up loving The Governor and it was a no brainer to pick up the figure.
McFarlane has done a great job on these smaller scale figures (5") and the paint work for the most part, is great (mine has a little slop around the eye patch and other areas) and the accessories are plentiful. The articulation is pretty varied, with some limitation in the waist and hips, which is a negative. One thing to look out for when swapping the heads, be careful with pulling the head out, as mine had the post inside the head break and now I'm stuck with a head I can't use.
If you like The Walking Dead and love action figures and don't mind the smaller scale, you'll really get a kick out of these well done figures from McFarlane. Pick them up for sure (they are priced anywhere from $12 to $16).
I was about to say... it needed to have an eyepatch accessory! This one looks pretty good!
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's pretty nice. I need to do some touch up work on the eyepatch head and fix the post, but besides that, it's a nice looking figure.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. :)
