Hicks vs Battle Damaged Alien Action Figure Showcase

It's been awhile since I've done a showcase and it looks like it's going to take a bit to get back into the swing of things. I haven't stopped buying action figures, but finding the time to take photos is getting difficult. Last night I decided to dedicate an hour or so to some photos and as you can see, the photos aren't anything super special and it fact, I made a mistake with the ISO setting of my camera, and most came out grainy looking. Oh well, I'll keep at it and before you know it, I'll be in full swing. For now though, let's take a look at the Hicks vs Battled Damaged Alien two pack from NECA toys.

Prometheus Series 2: Deacon 7" Action Figure Showcase

- ALIEN - 

Prometheus is a film that pretty much divided a lot of people, especially fans of the Alien series, who were going in expecting a straight prequel. It may not of been the Alien film we wanted, but you certainly can't say it didn't have some interesting creature designs, which brings me to the first xenomorph known as the Deacon, which was released in action form by NECA.

Up next on the Basement of Tatlock, is the Riot Gear Zombie, from The Walking Dead Series 4. This hideous zombie is based on the designs from The Walking Dead Season 3, where the group enter the prison and fight some zombies (something rare on the show). It's an awesome looking figure and I'm thinking you're going to think the same, once you see the photos, but first some information...

Batman Arkham City Series 4: Batman

It's been so long since I've done a showcase, I almost forget what to do. Thankfully, it's all flooding back with the Batman Arkham City Series 4 Batman. Batman is an awesome character, as is the Arkham City video game and the action figure is no different.

The Walking Dead action figures from McFarlane have had an interesting history. The first two waves of figures (Series 1 and 2) were pretty terrible looking, with little articulation and bad sculpts. Thankfully, McFarlane smartened up with Series 3 and started giving us some great looking action figures. The tradition continues with Series 4 and today I'll be showcasing The Governor. Enjoy!

This October, From the Basement of Tatlock will be running a tournament. Each entry will showcase two figures fighting off against each other, ending with a voting system, which will allow you, the viewer, to decide who should win.

First up on October 1st, 2013, From the Basement of Tatlock's first annual Fatal Figure Fights (FFF) will be: Ash vs Michael Myers.

Hellraiser Series 3: Hell on Earth Pinhead

Technically the final figure in Series 3, if you don't count the special box set of Dr. Channard, is Pinhead, based on his Hell on Earth appearance, specifically the Church scene and it is a neat looking figure, but with a few small problems.

Hellraiser Series 3: Female Cenobite

The sweet, sweet suffering of showcasing the Hellraiser Series 3 action figures, from NECA. It's sweet, because the figures are great, but I suffer, because this is the last series. We are nearing the end with the next showcase, the Female Cenobite, based on her appearance in the first movie, Hellraiser.

We come to the second showcase in Hellraiser Series 3 and tonight we find Frank appearing on the site, minus his skin and brandishing a knife and rat.

Welcome to the first showcase from Hellraiser Series 3, the Bloodline Twins, from Hellraiser: Bloodline, the fourth entry in the giant Hellraiser series. This is sadly the last action figure series from NECA, but it certainly isn't the worst. Read on to see what the deadly Bloodline Twins look like...

Star Wars Black Series Wave 1: Darth Maul

Finally, finally, finally we get some larger scale Star Wars figures, with beautiful articulation and amazing sculpt and paint. If you haven't already guessed, the showcase for today, is the much wasted potential, known as Darth Maul!
