Hicks vs Battle Damaged Alien Action Figure Showcase

- ALIEN -

It's been awhile since I've done a showcase and it looks like it's going to take a bit to get back into the swing of things. I haven't stopped buying action figures, but finding the time to take photos is getting difficult. Last night I decided to dedicate an hour or so to some photos and as you can see, the photos aren't anything super special and it fact, I made a mistake with the ISO setting of my camera, and most came out grainy looking. Oh well, I'll keep at it and before you know it, I'll be in full swing. For now though, let's take a look at the Hicks vs Battled Damaged Alien two pack from NECA toys.

Release: 2013
Series: Aliens
Company: NECA
Accessories: Light Equipment, Plasma Rifle, Shotgun, Shotgun Pouch
Articulation: Ball Joint Head, Neck, Shoulders, Biceps, Elbows, Wrist, Torso, Hips, Double jointed Knees, Ankles, Feet

The Hicks vs Battled Damaged Alien is sadly the only way to get a helmeted Marine and add on the fact that said helmet is not removable from the screaming Hicks head, which by the way looks kinda like Michael Biehn, but not really, the value goes down. It would've been nice to be able to swap the helmet on to the other, more calm looking Hicks, but alas, that wouldn't be NECA would it. As for the helmet itself, it's pretty cool looking, nothing special, but it's a Marine helmet. As for everything else, Hicks comes with a bunch of accessories, most which came with the single figure, but with the added light backpack and motion tracker, that came with the single Hudson, who also will have a two pack coming out soon.

The Battle Damaged Alien on the hand, is superb, with a fantastic looking exploded head and chest damage. The colour scheme is based on the blue looking aliens in the movie.

Do I recommend the two pack? Yes, but with some caveats. The above negatives in regards to the helmet is a real pisser, but the Alien looks pretty sweet and the two pack will definitely give you some pretty awesome shelf action displays. Pick it up, but know there are some negatives.
