Star Wars Black Series Wave 1: Darth Maul

- OTHER FIGURES -
Finally, finally, finally we get some larger scale Star Wars figures, with beautiful articulation and amazing sculpt and paint. If you haven't already guessed, the showcase for today, is the much wasted potential, known as Darth Maul!

Release: 2013
Series: Star Wars Black Series Wave 1
Company: Hasbro
Accessories: Alternate Head, Lightsabers, Binoculars
Articulation: Ball joint Head, Shoulders, Elbows, Waist, Double jointed Knees, Swivel Ankles

The Star Wars Black Series Wave 1, comes with 4 figures: X-Wing Luke, R2-D2, Sandtrooper and finally, the figure I'm showcasing today, Darth Maul. Darth Maul first appeared in The Phantom Menace and he turned out to be a big wasted opportunity, (spoilers) as he was killed off way too early. He did come back in the cartoons, but still, if you only watch the movies, it was a big shame.

The action figure on the other hand, is not a big wasted opportunity, as the Black Series figures are amazing looking. Darth Maul comes in 6" scale and he is packed with an alternate head, binoculars and detachable lightsabers, with removable ends. He's got some pretty good accessories and the articulation is through the roof for this guy and the double jointed knees allow for some great poses.

Enough talking though, let's get to the photos and really show off this amazing action figure. Oh and also enjoy a fun little animation below.

  1. Well I'm not a big fan of Star Wars, but I do like these pictures! Love the light saber effect :)

  3. Unless you're talking about The Phantom Menace and the prequels. If so, that's fine.
